Summer’s here, sniffers are no longer extinct, and the excuses for days of uninterrupted gaming are many! As if that wasn't enough, we're spending the next weeks celebrating those who make this blocky world go round; our community. That’s right, I’m looking at you! Join the Summer Celebration at Minecraft Marketplace from June 23 and July 10.

The fun begins with a three-day Trails & Tales Event followed by two whole weeks of daily giveaways, DLC discounts up to 75% off, and a free world – all inspired by the Trails & Tales update!

Let’s kick things off together with the three-day Trails & Tales Event. If you’re like me and have been buzzing with anticipation for the 1.20 update, then pack your finest pickaxe – we are about to dig deep into the new Trails & Tales features. From global playalongs to exclusive Character Creator items to mini-games; plenty of surprises are waiting to be unearthed...

The free map included in this Summer Celebrationis none other than Timeless Trails by The Hive. Learn the ropes of the new Trails & Tales features as you set off into a dreamy adventure filled with forgotten civilizations and buried treasure. Which trail will you follow first? The one to a village hidden in a sea of pink petals or the one to lost archeological caves overtaken by hostile mobs? I, for one, am stocked up on watermelon and ready to head into the desert biome with my new companion: the camel. There’s a special armor trimtucked away somewhere secret, and I won’t stop until I find it. 

FREE CHARACTER CREATOR ITEMS & 75% DISCOUNTS

If trekking through a desert in search of special armor isn’t your type of adventure, you can snatch other freebies over at Marketplace instead. Every day between June 27 and July 10 there will be one new free Character Creator iteminspired by the Trails & Tales update waiting for you. This is your chance to rock an archeologist top, a pair of cherry blossom wings, or even a sniffer onesie! My mind is set on the terracotta jumper and the torchflower robe to go with the adobe-style base I’m building for me and my camel after our desert adventure.

Speaking of adventures. If you’re feeling hungry for new trails, the daily doorbuster deals at 75% offeverything from maps and mini-games to skins and texture packs have you sorted.
